Topics and goals in intensive therapy
Intensive therapy is always customized to suit you personally
and your individual situation:
In the beginning, together, we settle on what you want to
achieve by taking the therapy and in which timespan.
This can either be a certain topic as well as a more precise
objective. Objective and period of time comply with what is
important to you in your individual situation.
Possible topics might be:
- getting dressed
- personal hygiene
- independence in your household
- independently riding public transport
- get along in your every-day affairs on your own
- etc.
Examples for more precise objectives:
- walking without aids
- eating with knife and fork
- climbing stairs
- standing up on your own after a fall
- putting on stockings
How does a day in intensive therapy look like?
- You're woken up by our occupational therapist. Together,
you exercise getting up, washing or taking a shower, preparing
breakfast and savouring the crunchy rolls.
- Refreshed, you head for physiotherapy. Training will
last from one to six hours daily, depending on your individual
shape. You exercise on your agreed upon objectives, based
on Bobath, Forced use and sci-ART.
- The straining training really gives you an appetite for
a tasty lunch. Like during your whole day, you're accompanied
by your personal therapist: on principle, a therapist looks
after and supports only one client. Impressions...
- Afterwards, whether you would like to do a little shopping,
or to catch some rays in our garden, or have a chat with
some of the others or just retreat to your apartment: no
matter, you decide what you would like to do and we support
you doing it.
- Alternatively, you can take our offers in logopedics
anytime.
- At dinner and when going to bed, you will apply what
you have learned: you end the day with a sense of accomplishment.
- In order that you can start the next day wide awake,
with joy and refreshed confidence, we take care of help
and assistance round the clock.
