Manual Therapy

We are trained, certified and internationally recognized Manual Therapist from S.O.M.T. , The Netherlands.(Stichting Opleiding Manuele Therapie – Foundation, Training Manual Therapy).

Manual Therapy is a joint-sparing and mostly pain-free treatment technique.
It is a comprehensive treatment concept with unique diagnostics and therapeutic procedures to localize and take care of functional disturbances concerning the muscular-skeletal system. Specialized manual techniques are applied in order to reduce pain and to mobilize movement restrictions.
For the therapist, deeper neurophysiological and joint-mechanical knowledge is a mandatory requirement.
Additionally, in Manual Therapy, he is 'mechanic' and trainer at the same time.
Manual Therapy treats segmental disturbances with or without current dysregulation and also local joint disturbances.
We draw up a Manual Therapeutic report/result for you, that is the basis to determine the your individually best-suited mobilisation technique.

Training and qualification requirements
Manual Therapy – abroad – is a self-contained and internationally recognized profession. To carry out Manual Therapy, high requirements have to be met:
Applicants for the 4year academic education have to be certified physiotherapists to begin with. During the course of his studies, the therapist has to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and qualification in several exams. Upon passing the final examination, the certification is awarded. In order to maintain the certification, the therapist is required to keep his knowledge and abilities up-to-date by attending continuing courses several days a year.
Current knowledge and abilities ensure high-quality treatment and are the reason, why Manual Therapists are held in high professional esteem.
