Hippotherapy

Hippotherapy can be a useful addition to the intensive therapy. It is suitable for people of all ages. Depending on the constitution, clients can book hippotherapy sessions directly with us.

Hippotherapy is physical therapy with horses as therapeutic aid. It is not a type of riding. Moving impulses of the horse are transmitted to the client’s pelvis and spine. The entire locomotor system must adjust to these impulses. The therapist supports and reinforces the client’s movements through individual therapeutic impulses. The horse walks slowly and is being led by a competent assistant.

With diverse indications, hippotherapy has positive effects on existing symptoms. It can reduce hypertension and improve gait coordination and endurance. It can also improve balance, concentration, gross motor skills and fine motor skills, body perception and muscle power of the trunk.

Depending on the weather, hippotherapy takes place outdoors all year round. If you are interested, please contact us!
